Howl's Moving Castle

2019's 'House of Illustration' and 'Folio Society' competition book was 'Howl's Moving Castle'; I'd not read the book before but it was thoroughly enjoyable! Lots of ideas were formulated whilst reading but I decided to focus on Sophie; the first illustration was more about setting the scene for her (the shadows created by the windowpane and the crowded nature of the room keep her 'closed in'), and the second is supposed to be a shock for the reader to see when turning the page.
