'The Selected Adventures and Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes'

'House of Illustration' and 'The Folio Society' ran a competition to illustrate 'The Selected Adventures and Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes', and I decided to experiment with constructing illustrations out of laser cut MDF pieces. For a first attempt, I can see improvements to be made but consider it a success and endeavour to make more in the future.

Sherlock himself was designed to have a distinct silhouette, with a nose so large and 'turned up' that he couldn't help but look down on people.
